National Freedom From Bullies Week
The end of October is approaching, so this week, students will check out a book with a specific character they want to dress up as for our Character Dress Up Day. Once their character is picked out, they are to create their own character costume using recycled materials, hand-made outfits, etc.
Also, in observance of National Freedom from Bullies Day, students will learn about bullying and protecting themselves by keeping open communication with teachers, counselors, or other trust-worthy adults.
Books to read:

Scholastic Book Fair!!!
This week we are celebrating the Scholastic Book fair! We had a great turnout the first night during Open House. Now we are just hoping that more students take advantage of this great opportunity to purchase some of the coolest, newest books this season.
Students are to check out books, visit the book fair, and make purchases during library time. The computer lab is closed for AR this week, due to the room being used for storage. Next week, we'll resume AR testing.
Students, please make sure that you remind your families to support your love for reading by visiting the Book Fair. Also, please note that we restock daily, so if you notice we are out of an item you would like, let us know immediately, so that we can put an order in for you.
Come back soon!

National Child Health Day
We are celebrating the National Child Health Day this week, which promotes healthy eating and plenty of exercise. With so many movies and video games out there, it is difficult to choose playing outside instead of watching t.v., but this day reminds us that everyone needs to have a healthy lifestyle - especially kids! You are the future, so get all the exercise you can, and don't forget to have fun!
Click HERE to get a printout of Healthy Heroes booklet.
Students will read a short story about health and work on Healthy Heroes activities to promote health and exercise.
Book read from our school Library: Run, Jump, Whiz, Splash by Vera Rosenberry.
